Enjolras’ first video was four years ago, a young boy barely eighteen capturing November 4th in Paris as the crowd at La Défense grew. The two minute long clip of a police officer ripping away a blanket around a protestor’s shoulder went viral– and it’s not 12 hours later that his second video goes up, this time of the protestors chanting their demands.
He was only eighteen then and yet, he had found his PASSION.
Soon, his channel’s become known amongst activists in Paris (and outside of them) as he ends up carrying a camera with him to the various rallies he attends, filming the speeches, the call to arms, the moment things go BAD. He lost a good few cameras that way, but he doesn’t stop.
It’s almost a year after that when someone uploads a video of HIM, camera swinging around his neck as he leads, as he speaks and the crowd before him R O A R S with approval. It’s the first time the world sees his face. It’s certainly not the last.
From then on, Enjolras realizes that there are people listening to him, people who want to listen to him and his channel becomes a mix of videos detailing issues that plague France, his own opinions as well as guest features of other activists he’s met.
It’s not easy to find moments where Enjolras is anything but critical unless you catch glimpses of him from other channels, clips where he is unguarded and joking. It’s become sort of a game, one he pretends to disapprove of but is mildly amused by anyway.
