poemsofsplendor:

And oh how Jehan wished to run. To escape from this embarrassment and curl up under several blankets in a dark room. That sounded perfectly reasonable to them, and they would have run if Enjolras hadn’t held onto them for so long.

By the time they are let go it’s too late to even bother to run, the damage has been done, and they would surely be judged by their friend for weeks to come. They rubbed their head, listening to him, nodding.

“I. It was a one time thing,” they said. “I do not know what came over me. You looked so.. Intense.”

          “  O H. ”

He’s not sure why he sounds so
      disappointed. He doesn’t hate the
kiss but he doesn’t like it either. Not
as much as he’s supposed to, he’s
sure. Did he want it to happen again?

                              Probably not today.

With a jerking nod, he musters up
       a smile, shrugging a little bit. “That’s
okay too. i’ll tone it down from now
on?” He’s not used to feeling so off-
kilter and it shows in the sheepish
duck of his head. “That was a nice–
is that weird? Do you want more tea?”
