[ see, that was the reason why her uncle never organized the store on working hours. but then again, he never felt bothered by customers not putting books back where they found, like she does. her cheeks flush, and she is fully aware of it.

she accepts his hand, and makes an effort to pull herself back up without stumbling into him, but fails. pushing her bangs off her eyes, Sadie nods quickly, and waves it off. ]

                                                 Ah, just tired, thank you.

[ that’s a lie. she’s pretty sure that ‘war and peace’ just fell on her head. ]

Also, sorry about the mess while at it.

It did-- he saw it too. He’s eyeing
her crown of hair suspiciously, as though
it might start bleeding anytime soon. It’s
a pretty thick book after all. Enjolras takes
a step back, his hands steadying her but
quickly letting go, letting her stand on her
own. He doesn’t go as far as putting his
hands in his pockets but it’s a close call.

“It’s fine, honestly. My room looks a
lot like this.” Well, not here but back in
Paris– which really brings him to why
he’s here. “Do you have a section of
foreign language books by any chance?”

The cursory look he got in doesn't
really lend itself to much promise but hey,
maybe this store has a shelving system he
doesn’t know of. There are weirder things.
